Last Night's Experience

Last night I again had that strange sensation. The illusoriness of all existence as sensed by our senses was once again revealed in the middle of the night. It was images and images all around.

Time proved to be an illusion produced by the succession of our states of consciousness. It does not exist where no consciousness exists in which the illusion can be produced.

I realized that in our existence as physical beings we are merely passing through space and time. What we are at any given moment is actually the sum total of our past and the future.

We are just dropping out of the to-be into the has-been, out of the future into the past. At any given moment we are present to our senses as a cross-section of our total selves.

These are at best what words can describe of that timeless experience. I was and only I was. The rest were all images. My physical existence was an image. A mirage. Yet here is the mirage writing real words. A mystery. I was back again to square one in the morning.

It is just that I AM. I AM is all that there is. Rest are images. Maya. A Grand Illusion.

I AM THAT I AM.

Intuition is the faculty that will bring experiences from a Higher Plane in our waking state. But such experiences need to become permanent; otherwise, after they have passed like a flash through the material world we can no longer cognise any such existence directly.

Not so long as we have sense-instruments which bring only material existence into the field of our consciousness.

Whatever plane our consciousness may be acting in, both we and the things belonging to that plane are, for the time being, our only realities. As we rise in the scale of development or evolution, we perceive that during the stages through which we have passed we mistook shadows for realities. It is then that the dim realization occurs of the fact that the upward progress of the Ego is a series of progressive awakenings, each advance bringing with it the idea that now, at last, we have reached "reality."

But only when we shall have reached the absolute Consciousness, and blended our own with it, shall we be free from the delusions produced by Maya.

There are dimensions to be crossed before the last veil of Maya is shed.

Truly ignorance is bliss because as we climb the ladder of awareness the pain of separation becomes more acute and one's sense of helplessness increases. Not maybe when we cross that threshold of awareness.

Till then we are groping in the dark; some aware and some unaware.

Our Bird of Paradise is neither the bird nor the plant. It is the Eternal SOUL.

There are three sheaths or bodies that encase the invisible soul. The thinnest layer is the Causal body. The Causal body stands at the fusion point of Mind and Matter. The next layer beneath the Causal body is the Astral. Then finally, the physical sheath makes up for what we are.

The Astral layers have many dimensions - going up from lower to the higher. The physical knows only the 4 dimensions of space-time. At physical death one moves on to one of the many astral dimensions according to the karma on earth. It would be worth to state here that there is no good or evil or rewards or punishments. These are merely the physical understanding of higher terms.

For example, the life of a worm groveling in the dirt may seem repulsive to us; and we can describe our notions of hell accordingly. But to a worm the dirt is bliss. It may not want the "human" heaven. Then we can describe our mental agonies as hell or punishment for some act.

The astral is a consciousness and has the cycles of birth and death as in the physical.

When we birth ourselves in the physical world we come here only after having worked out the script thoroughly in the astral plane. Every minute detail is worked out. Then we die to the astral before being born in the physical. In fact there is a transition period of the change in consciousness when the body is being developed in the womb and until a certain age of our childhood. During this period we are in both worlds. Slowly we die completely to the astral and are totally attuned to the physical earth.

On physical death too, we are for sometime partly in the astral and partly in the physical. Finally, we dissolve completely into the astral to write another script for the journey back into the physical.

In the physical world all that we sense to be outside is actually inside. They are projections of the brain. The sense of seeing things outside is actually images on the retina worked out by the brain. The sense of touch is also, by a similar reasoning actually inside of us. And so goes for all the physical phenomena. Nothing is outside except for images.

All that we love or hate or admire or criticize are there within us. When we criticize something we actually detest something within our own being. The pain and the bliss are all there within. So the complexities that we see outside of us are there to be resolved within.

If you hate George Bush, you actually hate the George Bush within you! The George Bush outside is actually an image.

Therefore, OBSERVATION is the key to the raise in awareness, and unless awareness is raised beyond a certain level we are always in the eternal trap of MAYA. The cycle of birth and death in both the astral and physical worlds will continue. Once we come out of the trap of Maya we move onto the higher dimensions of the astral field. In the Higher realms of the astral, we experience creation as exhaustless expressions of changing light.

The astral beings also smell, taste, and touch light. But Astral desires are connected with an astral being's power to precipitate all objects and experiences as forms of light or as condensed thoughts or dreams.

The Higher astral beings have the power to create or modify any astral object through sheer will power.

Here again it would be worthy to note that there two types of dwellers on the astral planes - the lower temporary ones who oscillate between the physical and the astral and the Higher temporary ones who oscillate between the astral and the still Higher Causal.

The Causal sheath is the last one. Causal beings objectify through sheer thought power. The just have to think and Lo, Behold! The objects manifest. It’s something like you think of a red Ferrari and there it is in front of you.

Causal beings are nearest to the Supreme One. They also undergo death and rebirth and shuttle between the astral and the causal. When this last veil is broken; at the final death, the Soul merges into the Supreme One.

Every act, whether in the Causal or the Astral or the Physical worlds, is nothing more than relativities of divine ideas in the cosmic dream - Idea identities emanating from the Supreme One. Karma is created by the unredeemed Soul and it remains corked in one or all of the three sheaths.

The day I will I am set on the Path to freedom. That moment I am freed from the shackles of Space-Time-Relativities.

Till I desire this freedom I am trapped in the images and images and images all around. It is all images and nothing but images - and images that are real because we are trapped in the illusion.

"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out (i.e., shall reincarnate no more). . . . To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."- Revelation 3:12, 21.

Vedanta points out that God is the only Reality; all creation or separate existence is Maya or illusion.

Stress and the Evolution of Consciousness

Principal Cause of Stress:

What is the cause of stress? Having our self, our existence repeatedly put on full alert is a principal cause of stress.

The Biologist's View:

According to the biologist, stress is directly induced by the organism's need to evolve in order to endure the changes in his immediate environment. An ecological change or for that matter any profoundly new situation in the environment leads to specialization or generalization in the organic structure that is genetically equipped for rectification. It is generalization that is triggered by stress. Specialization is a product of a relatively stable environment.

The generalized new order always develops an increased capacity to relate with the changed environment in order to survive; soon after specialization takes over. The generalized form immediately begins to specialize in response to competition for scarce resources.

This has been the norm through centuries. The generalized form always seems to suddenly appear and after which it immediately begins to specialize. The question then arises as to how it is possible for stress to trigger generalization and the formation of a higher order of being. The answer lies in the stressed proteins in our cells that probably trigger a response loop which the RNA transmits to the genes causing an immediate speeding up in the rate of gene mutation. This is probably the organism's way of desperately looking for a relief of stress. Since pseudo-genes and DNA introns evolve much faster than their counterparts, it may be that these are held in reserve for when a population is threatened by unresolved stress.

It is also possible that specific genes are targeted in response to environmental stress. If this is true, then it would indicate that generalization is not entirely a random process and that it has direction, maybe even purpose.

Evolution in a Revolution:

Human Beings now no longer live in a natural environment; their environment is now a result of their own intelligence. This self- imposed upbringing causes an unprecedented level of stress which accelerates the evolution of a new generalized order of being. This maybe caused even without the traditional cataclysm of a natural environmental change.

Therefore, one fact now needs to be stated. It is that with the advent of human beings, evolution has ceased to be a blind affair governed by random genetic mutations. A new degree of freedom has appeared; we can think ahead and determine our own future. Our further evolution is now in our own hands - or rather, in our own minds. There is now a revolutionary difference even in the way evolution is shaping up!

The New Human Being:

There presently resides within our population the precursor of the new generalized form of Human Being, as yet unrecognized and undefined! They are the ones who have discovered the true nature and potential of consciousness and thus have evolved inwardly to higher states of consciousness. There is nothing special about them in terms of their biology. They are human beings, just like you and me, with similar bodies and similar nervous systems. The only difference is that they have liberated themselves from a limited, artificially derived sense of identity and discovered a greater peace and security within.

They are relieved of unnecessary fears, and therefore, are in a much better state to cope with the many changes that will be occurring over the coming years. Simply speaking, they are liberated from unnecessary self-centeredness, and are free to care for each other; to offer to you and me the love we so much want for ourselves. Together with such enlightened beings, we will be in a much better position to build a new world - one that is not so driven by this halfway stage in the unfolding of self-consciousness.

There is an urgent need to recognize that our task is to manifest this evolutionary change on earth, now - both for our own sakes and for the sake of every other creature. Now to state the obvious, each one of us is that new generalized form of Human Being, as yet unrecognized and undefined! The times we are living through make it imperative that such among us now complete our inner evolutionary journey into full wakefulness.

A Crisis of Consciousness:

It is necessary that we realize that the global crisis now facing us is, at its root, a crisis of consciousness. The essence of any crisis, whether it be a personal crisis, a political crisis, or, as in this case, a global crisis, is that the old way of functioning is no longer working. Something new is being called for. In this case the old way that is no longer working is our mode of consciousness. The old mode is destroying the world around us, and threatening the survival of our species. The time has come to evolve into a new mode. We need to wake up to our true identity, to make the step that many on this planet have already made, and discover for ourselves the peace and security that lie at our core. The first step is to free ourselves from the need to reinforce an artificially derived sense of identity. We need to act in accord with our true needs - and with the needs of others and the needs of our environment. This is the true direction of our evolution - the evolution of our consciousness.

Esoteric Astrology: The Future and Advanced Astrology

Esoteric astrology was first streamed into our plane of consciousness through Alice Bailey by one of the Masters Djwhal Khul also known as DK or The Tibetan. Esoteric Astrology also called New Astrology aims to link the individual with the whole in which he or she is involved. It is entirely different from mundane astrology which belongs to this era of personality-based astrology.

In mundane astrology, as we know at present, natal charts for individuals are set up on the basis of the personality condition determined by position of planets in the 12 houses; or at the most, of the personality ray, if the astrologer is lucky enough to know or deduce accurately. If, however, the subject is an esoterically highly advanced person, then the chart will be recurrently wrong. This is because the planets which govern in the case of ordinary or undeveloped man have ceased to influence the spiritual man and the disciple. The planets that rule the average man's life destiny are, in their turn, conditioned by certain karmic influences which the advanced man has overcome, or is overcoming.

Therefore, in the case of a spiritually advanced person, the horoscope will be cast eventually on the basis of the soul ray, which will determine his cosmic destiny in a larger cycle. Thus, the zodiacal signs which govern the activities and the influence of the present group of planetary Rulers will be considerably lessened. New planetary potencies that convey zodiacal energies will control and take precedence of the old ones, thus putting the man in touch with different forces.

Consequently, when at an advanced stage of spiritual progress, he will be sensitive to the whole range of vibrations that the cosmos has to offer; charts will then be set up which will be called "charts of the crosses" (that are 3 in number with each cross having 4 hands). These charts will be more than simple suggestions of planetary influences in the twelve houses.

Actually, these "charts of the crosses" are the type of charts by which the Masters measure the evolutionary status of their disciples. Needless to say, these are most interesting in every sense of the term. These are the ones that are prepared when Man is sufficiently evolved, and at which time man will start drawing near to the "Cardinal Cross of the Heavens."

It can be safely stated as a fact that there isn't any living astrologer capable of doing this as yet! However, interpretations based on the existing natal chart and on the basis of the principles of Esoteric Astrology are already in vogue.

Here is a list - incomplete yet adequate for all practical purposes as of now - of the key influences which find their way from near as well as the far distant sources into our planetary life and produce distinct outcomes with regard to individual man and also upon humanity as a whole:

The constellation of the Great Bear.
The Seven Sisters of the Pleiades.
Sirius, the Dog Star.
The seven solar systems of which ours is one.
The seven sacred planets of which ours is not one.
The five non-sacred planets or "hidden" planets.
The seven planetary centers.
The seven centers of force in the human etheric body.
The twelve zodiacal constellations.

Hence, while using Esoteric Astrology we will be dealing with a nine-fold energy impact on the terrestrial destiny and the consequent stage of spiritual development of man. This is a major chart but it needs to be mentioned here that there are other impacts also, though of relative insignificance.

These other streams of energy which do play upon and affect our planetary life are those coming from the stars, Betelgeuse (also called Alpha Orionis, it is the 12th brightest star), or Antares (ultraluminous star with a color similar to Mars) and so on. It needs to be added here that only those suns and solar systems which are related to the constellations of the zodiac and whose force reaches the earth through these constellations and not directly cast their effects on the terrestrial beings.

Of the major influences, the seven stars of the Great Bear are the originating sources of the seven rays of our solar system. Each of these seven Rays, coming from the Great Bear, is transmitted into our solar system and onto our planets through the medium of three constellations and their ruling planets.

Besides these, we should also add the radiations of influence which comes direct to us from the planet, the Earth, upon which we live. Then, and only then, can we have a fairly complete analysis and picture of the energies to which the etheric body of man must and does ever respond. Ultimately, it is this etheric body that conditions the physical body which is pre-eminently involuntary and negative in its reactions.

Thus to summarize, the rays of energies that affect us fall into these three groups:

1. Those coming from the certain great constellations already mentioned and which are to be found active in relation to our solar system. These constellations, in fact, have always been related in myth and legend to our system, from the most ancient days. To these constellations, ours is related in a peculiar way.

2. Those coming from the twelve zodiacal constellations. As we already know through the tenets of normal astrology, these rays are recognized as having a definite effect upon our system and our planetary life.

3. Those coming from the planets found within the periphery of the Sun's sphere of influence. However, in Esoteric Astrology there is a basic difference in the way the influences of the rays are dealt with.

As already stated earlier, these rays have a close connection with the seven stars of the Great Bear (again always the four and the three as a secondary differentiation) and to the seven Sisters, the Pleiades. The first constellation is the agent of positive force and the other the radiator of the negative aspect.

Great interlocking triangles of force can be found existing between the seven planets and these two groups of seven stars each. It will eventually be discovered that the innermost secret of astrological deduction in the planetary sense is connected with these "sacred triangles," and they are - in their turn - represented by the triangles (shifting and changing) which can be constructed in connection with the seven centers. Deductions based on the chart prepared by the above and still others yet unknown principles of Esoteric Astrology may start making their appearance by the year 2025. By then, there will be enough beings on earth that will have transcended the affects pronounced by mundane astrology.

The Ancient Calendars and the Dawning of the Age of Light

There is an ancient calendar encoded in stone within the Great Pyramid of Giza. This calendar has been able to accurately predict significant historical events, such as the birth of Jesus Christ, and the global wars of this century. This calendar began its date in 3999 BC, and ended it on September 17, 2001. This last mentioned date actually marked the beginning of an epoch on earth.

According to this calendar there were three things that were expected at this time of ending:

1. A shift in earth's relationship with the sun.

2. A beginning of complete and balanced planetary karmic cycles.

3. All round Global spiritual initiation.

No doubt, prophecies and predictions are unsettling subjects or else subject to our unwarranted contempt; yet, we need to understand that the purpose of prophecy is to warn, so that if we don't like what it is saying we can use our free will to influence the outcome.

In this terrestrial existence, we are all surfers, riding the big wave together. Fully engaged in an accelerated flood of change, we are actually heading for the 'zone'; and this 'zone' represents the instant in time and space when the wave that carries us all crests at its climax. It is the space between synapses, the freeze-frame between neurons firing when body wisdom, impeccable reflexes, and raw instinct take over.

The portending Armageddon is nothing but the negative polarity of a larger whole, which includes leaps of consciousness and fantastic new discoveries that bring about a positive change.

We need to remember, that as the substructure of our reality shifts, we must be in full resonance and synchronicity with the power of nature. We can do this only by observing seven first cause principles, of which the Law of Karma is one. Cosmic laws do form the dynamic matrix of all existence and are the common denominator of the shifting spectrum of physics versus metaphysics.

Now, let us get back to our initial subject. What are the implications of the three events marked in the ancient calendar?

1. Shift in the Earth's relationship with the sun.

With newspapers reporting all the solar flares that we have been experiencing since the year 2001, it does seem true that the magnetic polarities of the sun have gone through a significant shift. Such a thing has never ever been recorded before in history, and scientists are indicating this could soon happen on earth as well.

Science has already started to have a glimpse of the fact that the earth's magnetic fields hold our collective thoughts, feelings, and consciousness. It might be possible that the shifting of the magnetic fields may perhaps be mirroring the tremendous revolution of human consciousness that we are currently experiencing.

Or maybe it could be perhaps that we have entered into a region of space known as the "photon band", which has in previous cycles of terrestrial evolution indicated quantum shifts in planetary evolution.

2. Completion and balancing of long range karmic cycles.

As we prepare for such a quantum shift we will simultaneously be experiencing the completion and balancing of long range karmic cycles.

On a 3rd dimensional level, what we do to the earth we do to ourselves, and we are beginning to see the repercussions of this.

On a higher level, we may evoke a law of grace that supersedes the laws of karma. This demands conscious intent, however.

Both the Hopis and Mayans had recognized that we would be approaching the end of a World Age sometime during the initial stages of the present millennium. But the former, however, offered no time limits, while the latter had a calendar system whose grand Thirteen Baktun cycle will end either on December 24, 2011 or June 6, 2012 (depending on the method of calculation).

However, in either of the cases, the Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is considered as a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. Our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility.

The same theme can be found reflected in the prophecies of many other Native American visionaries from Black Elk to Sun Bear.

This concept that we can make choices concerning our future destinies is one found not only in Native American prophecies but is really an essential ingredient in all true prophetic pronouncements.

True prophecy is meant to be a reflection on the hidden natures and motivations of human behavior, both individually and collectively, as well as the future options based on the human ability to make a choice. True prophecy is thus more than merely a forecast. Its purpose is to provide the lesson that is to be learned from a potential future prognostication so that, if possible, the lesson is accepted and processed beforehand.

Thus the course of the future can actually be changed, and a different pathway of prophesied events can be manifested into reality.

In this context, the period of time between now and the year 2012, with 2000 as the benchmark, appears to be shaping up into a decisive time period when important choices will be made and when any number of timelines for the future is possible. True prophecy is our guide to determine what those different timelines are and how we can make the right choices.

The questions that we can ask of us are:

Can we use this time to send out a different message to the universe?

Can we reach inside of ourselves and look at the denials and fears that keep us imprisoned in our lives?

Can we encourage our communities, businesses, and governments to do likewise? What if we looked to this period, starting September 17, 2001, as a Period of Truth, to redirect our intentions towards the highest possibilities of our souls, and for our beautiful planet?

We can only go as high as we are willing to go deep, and it is often in the very depths that we find the greatest light. This is where we find the power and the hope to sustain us. It is only if we are willing to see and to embrace all of our deeply human fragmented realities that the light of grace can shine upon us.

As we allow the light of grace to shine upon us, we open ourselves to a global spiritual initiation.

We are seeing increasingly rapid expansions of consciousness on our planet. This emerging consciousness is 4th and 5th dimensional in nature, and can over-ride the 3rd dimensional ecological realities on our planet.

3. All round Global Spiritual initiations

The nature of most spiritual initiations is the experience of a gradual ascent of consciousness followed by a quantum leap. When the time is right, this quantum leap could take place 'in the twinkling of an eye'. We are collectively entering the birth canal of a new world.

So:

Will we birth ourselves into the Age of Light with grace and ease? Or will we continue on our collision course towards extinction?

This proposal for a Day of Truth recognizes that we are on the verge of a planetary spiritual awakening, and is a call for deep self-examination. It is also recognition that we are connected with a vast array of beings that can assist us if we call for it collectively. There are four things each of us can do as we move towards this event.

1. Take time before this date to personally examine our own lives and priorities as citizens of Earth in this time of transition. This is a wake-up call.

2. Come together in small and large groups, taking responsibility for our shadows, fears and denials, and how this impacts the larger whole. Discuss how we have been denying our light as well as our darkness. With great compassion, allow ourselves to make new choices.

3. Call for accountability from our governments, businesses, industries and media.

In this regard, people like Bill Moyers and Steven Greer seem to have initiated a healthy trend, asking for full public disclosure on the chemical industry and extraterrestrial contact. Let us urge ourselves to take their spirit of disclosure into every arena of personal and terrestrial life. The onus is now really on us to share stories of denial busting with the communities all across the globe. We can very well use the media and the internet for this purpose, and thus share all the stories of inspiration and hope.

4. Put forth a unified, heart-rending call for assistance from the ascended masters, star nations, angels, avatars, saints, bodhisattvas, and nature kingdoms. These magnificent beings, belonging to an altogether different dimension of existence, are always ready to assist but will not do so without permission.

Isn't it true, as mentioned by Kiara Windrider, that to the extent that we give our power over to governments, allowing them to choose for us, they will not interfere with our choice? We must either invite the governments across the world to lift the veil of secrecy and respond to the positive assistance that has been offered, or invite this directly as responsible citizens of the Earth.

Although we cannot remain in denial about the ecological realities on our planet, the pathway to the Fifth World is in affirming the new realities emerging among us. Somewhere between an ungrounded spiritual escapism based on denial, and a narcissistic preoccupation with gloom and doom, we can choose to intentionally and purposefully envision a brave new world based on the deepest truth of our being.

In order to do this we must consciously choose to face our own shadows, commit to rebirth, and open to the light of our guiding truth.

May this Day of Truth reflect the deepest truth of our being. And may this be the message that we send out to the universe as we prepare for the dawning of an Age of Light.

The Eternal Conflict - A Short Story

Once upon a time, long, long ago, there lived two brothers in the ancient continent of Lemantis. To the uninformed, Lemantis existed on earth before the first ice age, long before dinosaurs roamed about on earth. Lemantis was actually a huge land mass, that was bigger than Asia and Europe combined.

These two brothers were special among the inhabitants of Lemantis. They had bodies that actually belonged to the 4th dimension. They could materialize and de-materialize their bodies at will. After de-materialization they could exist as pure consciousness in their subtle bodies and yet keep themselves in the present time dimension.

The other inhabitants of Lemantis had no inkling of this extraordinary power of the two brothers. The brothers were called Loki and Kiola. They were agriculturists by occupation and though they themselves never had the need for food, they grew all kind of crops for the consumption of the inhabitants. They just grew enough to meet the needs of their immediate neighbors and a few more outside this circle.

This story took a twist one fine day when aliens made their presence felt in one of the villages of Lemantis. These aliens came from the Andromeda galaxy. They came in triangular space ships and were about half a dozen in number. They had come looking for our brothers. These aliens knew that the two brothers were actually the original inhabitants of a rival planet in one of the solar systems of Andromeda.

Both these rivals were trying to impose on each other. A war had ensued that had lasted several thousands of years and the planet of our brothers was completely wiped out. Well, not exactly wiped out. The surface was destroyed and made unfit for existence. However, the survivors retreated into the hollow of their planet. But they longed to be back in the open again. This would have been possible only after the annihilation of the rivals, who were trying to establish a foothold on the vanquished planet. They enemies however did not possess the wherewithal necessary to survive on the surface. They needed specimens bodies of their rivals to replicate on the surface and then occupy their forms.

Several of the vanquished spread out in groups of two or four to various other domains in the universe. This they did to establish a power grid spread across solar systems and galaxies. By establishing such a network they could create a dragnet around the enemies using a special form of energy wave. Our brothers on Earth were actually part of this network, and their job was to create a node on earth. The waves issued simultaneously from all over would surround all antagonistic forces and trap them in this power grid. Thus they would be immobilized and turned into sub-conscious zombies. Then they would never have been able to exercise their influence on anybody again.

The enemies realized such an exercise was on, and they were trying their best to foil the plans. All they had to do was to capture one of the nodes and render them inactive. Thus they had come to earth to capture and immobilize the node of our brothers. The enemies had however, a task at hand. They had to first recognize the brothers from among the inhabitants. For this they transformed themselves into tniy blobs of high density energy, and roamed about the continent. They would enter the brain of the natives and trigger energy signals under the influence of which the inhabitants would carry out the intended actions. Only the brothers had the power to ward of these intrusions.

Thus, the enemies could easily recognize these brothers. The result of their intrusion was always drastic and if not avoided could produce many an untoward event. These blobs of energy kept up intense search for many hundreds of years.

There was only one way for the brothers to win this game. They had to teach the other inhabitants the method to keep these blobs at bay. The difficulty lay in how to make them understand what they were doing. These people had no idea of what was going on at inter-galactic levels. They were part of another experiment in a different dimension.

There was only one way, - and that was to equate result of this method to the greatest pleasure of the inhabitants - orgasm. Thus by practicing the method taught by the brothers they could experience the highest and also keep the blobs away.

By and by, the number of the initiates grew. Some could understand what was going on and gave up the experience of transient pleasure. They were experiencing moments of ecstasy by the method taught, and the intensity produced was many times greater than hat they had experienced through their usual means. Their awareness levl was now much expanded and thus they could also understand the events at the inter-galactic level.

The brothers invited more and more of their species to help in this great experiment. Many descended into the physical dimension. Slowly, cycles repeated and earth entered its present period. The conflict continued. The brothers’ job was far from over. The blobs took the form of what we know today as thoughts. Most of us a have succumbed to our thoughts, while many have managed to master them and keep them at bay.

The brothers formed a society of their own, called the Great White Brotherhood and kept sending members into the present dimension at regular intervals in their endeavor to teach the Earth people how to keep their minds free of thought. This was the first step in the inter-galactic war.

The war is yet to be won. The enemies have also descended in great numbers, to thwart the work of the Great Brotherhood. Now the conflict on Earth has reached to its maximum intensity. The story therefore does not end here and now as the outcome is yet to be known!!

The Time however is near, with more and more Earthlings getting geared up to ward off this great threat to their existence.

The World Around Me

The world around me in which I perceive myself to exist is almost totally imaginary. In fact, I am leading a life that borders thinly between reality and imagination. Never for a moment do I get to really know which side I am on.

My Mind which is full of delusions and illusions is scared outright to take the plunge into the affairs of the world and at the same time knows it cannot sustain itself on the material plane without a physically real base.

I guess my Higher Self possesses all the answers, because it is not limited to this corporeal dimension alone. Its presence cuts across all dimensions and is in touch with the beings in other dimensions. It is in the hallowed company of Angels, Archangels, the Nature Elements and, of course, the Ascended Masters.

Therefore, I guess, what is imagination on the physical plane maybe real in the other dimensions. Imagination maybe the only gateway that keeps me connected to the other worlds. Maybe it is not imagination after all. Who Knows!!

Looking back into the past, I have no regrets in life, whatsoever. It is just a play of time, because I have done whatever I could possibly have done, mistakes and otherwise combined.

I know Time is nothing but an illusion, necessary only to keep things stable in our present phase of evolution. Only the body and the physical aspect of Mind are actually caught in the warp of Time and Space. The other aspects of our total personality maybe free from the clutches of the four dimensions of Space and Time. Thats what I think. Truth maybe otherwise.

The One Way or the True Philosophy of Life

There is only one way to live this life: through love and sacrifice. To love and love absolutely, and lead a life of sacrifice is the only true way on Earth. But the way we cling to our possessions, our beliefs, and above all our severe conditionings, it is really difficult to break away from our mould.

You (you and me and everyone included) need to throw everything away - there is no need to fear to throw away even life. Only when you give everything you have, everything you know, everything you think of as ‘mine', and in the denial of all that is not the Self, then only the One shall arise within you, and you shall know that ‘I am He'. Below the surface consciousness we are all One; our point of origin is One. So by giving to ‘others', we actually give to ‘ourselves'.

There is only the One and you cannot find yourself, or the absence of yourself. You are yourself, but you do not know what you are, and whatever you know about yourself is just a guess or someone else's guess and your's or the other's guess is wrong!! You are staring into a void and this void is actually void of voidness! It should make no difference whether we dispose of ‘me' or the ‘other', for the disposal of either eliminates both. The method is to ‘cease or terminate your thinking' as from a self (please note the difference between self (me, my ego) and Self (the One); there is no other way to differentiate).

Who is this You? You - whoever you may be - are just an error of perception or observation, or a misinterpretation of facts - a delusion, a false impression. Once we can look squarely into this fact we get to understand that that which is self is other; that which is other is self, and this which I AM is neither self nor other. Each ‘other' becomes (or is) a ‘self' to itself, and each ‘self' becomes (or is) an ‘other' to another ‘self'.

It is also true that you cannot throw away the Self; the Self within you never ceases to live. This is the true philosophy of life. Yet this concept will remain, for the majority of us for the majority of time, within the domains of philosophy; not yet ready to be put into practice unless we realize this truth this very ‘moment'.

Self-Realization is your birthright; it is not be attained, it is yours (yours means you and me included).

Why am I writing all these? Because it is better that we all should speak out the truth that we see - howsoever partial rather than complete it maybe. At the same time there is no need to silence the truth of others; others may also have caught a glimpse of something that we do not possess. So let us speak out our truths and yet not engage in the denunciation of the truth of others.

There should be an absolute liberty of thought and speech; where we are wrong, time will correct us; where we are mistaken, truths will gradually burn up our errors. But if one silences another then one letter of the complete truth may slip out of sight, and be lost from the life of the world, a letter which should have had its place in the whole.

Let us all be led along the path of imagination and discovery; so that each one of us becomes an observer, a recipient of truth, a dealer in possibilities. We all have our own individual roles to play - all important to the original scheme of things.

Wisdom of the Upanishads:Self and the Inherent Self-Consciousness

The Upanishads treat the great fundamental truths in the most abstract, philosophic and metaphysical sense to render the loftiest of thoughts into the mind of man. The central truth of the Upanishads is the identity in nature of the Universal Self and the Particular Self, declared in the statement: Tat tvam asi, That thou art.

The Upanishads maintain the idea that there is only one consciousness and that is God Consciousness. It declares that there is nothing else but Brahman. He is all and the all is in him. It is not He and a Universe but He as the Universe.

This Brahman is the absolute beginning, the absolute end and the absolute continent of things. The inherent self-consciousness in Brahman, inseparable from its being, is throwing itself out as a force of movement of consciousness which is creative of forces, forms and worlds. The Brahman is not limited, bound or compelled by its potentiality - it is free; and it indulges its powers of movement and formation for only one reason - for delight!!

However, to our ordinary view of self and things which awakes and moves only upon surfaces. This inherent Self-Delight remains hidden, profound, sub-conscious.

There is, therefore, only one existence - that of the Self; and there is only one sure proof - that of the Self. The proof is within, and so we need to turn our gaze within. Man cannot wander outside the Self, for the Self is everywhere. He cannot lose the Self, for the Self is within him.

If through our imagination we can expand our consciousness to embrace the whole of the visible universe, we will understand that such universes arise out of an immeasurable fullness as waves out of an ocean; and disappear as well just as waves smooth down again into the ocean. Thus, all that is imaginable, everything which can be, resides in that immeasurable All; there is nothing else. This All is absolute due to the simple reason that there is nothing else with which THAT can be in relation.

Thus do the Upanishads strive to render an intellectual exposition of THAT as much as words can give. Nothing else may words do!!

The Cosmic Dance and the Different Paths to God Realization

The Upanishads have a way of describing the Divine Manifestation that is the Universe. The external world is but an expression of Lord Shiva resplendent in His Cosmic Dance. This is the Nataraja Shiva in full sway. Lord Shiva dances his dance of creation and yet veils his glory, his splendor, his magnificence from it. The outer world is nothing but the opening out to this glory of the Divine Dance and his creation is never detached from him. The apparent detachment is because of the play of Cosmic Illusion or Maya and by this God wants to give his creation the sheer pleasure of discovering his God Consciousness.

God screens himself from his creation to give himself the unalloyed delight of creation discovering God. Thus, God is both Creator and the Created, the Inventor and his Invention, the Designer and his Designs. The Uncreated God and The Created God are One, yet the creation is attached to the imposing delusion of separateness. Whenever God's creation discovers God, God discovers himself all over again. God delights in this Divine Lila or play of hiding and discovering his glory. He is truly the One and Only.

In his Infinite Creativity, God then becomes the Teacher and the Taught!! As the Buddha, he teaches to himself (you and me, his creations) that to become One with the Absolute Cosmic Awareness you need to free yourself from all attachments. By renouncing attachment to this world you return to your true source, your true foundation. You can then restore yourself to The Uncreated, Unmanifested God and this is what is known as Nirvana or The Bliss. You attain to this Blissful Oneness through the practice of contemplation or meditative observation. The way of the Buddha allows one to achieve this Oneness through meditative observation.

Yet in another instance, he brings to you (and me and to everyone) the path of Christ that requires you to repent for your sins and acknowledge the sacrifice of Christ. Christ as God in the Flesh died for you, so you can attain to eternal life regardless of your life in the past. Christ created on the seventh day the Sabbath to make it easier to achieve union with God. He made it simple for you so that you need renounce the world and commune with God once every seven days. Therefore, this path also teaches that we can be resurrected into the Kingdom of God.

Thus, all paths are same and they all lead to the highest in you. Glory be to God and His Divine Lila, the Cosmic Dance!!

The Essence of the Universal Mind - The Glorious Presence

The Higher Mind or Manas is the part of the fundamental nature or representative of Mahat or the Universal Mind. From this Higher Mind comes the feeling of liberty, freewill - the knowledge that we can rule ourselves. Once our consciousness identifies with this Higher Mind instead of the Lower Desire mind, the "I" of the lower nature becomes the animal we bestride; now we can bring the plunging steed onto our leash and tame it with our will.

In our upward ascension on the wings of evolution we reach a point where the intellect fails us; language may not exactly utter that which the Spirit senses in those higher realms. That is why the Seers spoke to us in symbols, parables, or codified language. At best they kept quiet; their silence could by itself spread the fragrance.

From below, the intellect is bound, is constantly struggling and fighting for mastery. The tempest made up of desires, cravings and our appetites keeps howling around it, the waves of emotion and passion tosses it to and fro and thus the Lower Mind is clearly at pains to hear the voice of the Higher Mind. Through the intellect the Lower Mind cannot reach the Higher Mind.

It is this lower nature that needs to be crucified, typified by the crucifixion of the flesh, so that the Ego can cross the frontiers of corporeal death and "rise again" as the triumphant conqueror over sin and death. In this supreme, highest, absolute moment, he becomes one with the glorious presence, the Christ in him. Thenceforth, he may live in the body; but now the body has become his obedient instrument, his compliant slave and he exerts his full powers as an immortal spiritual intelligence. He is now an Adept or Master.

Only thus does the long, arduous pilgrimage of suffering of the Manas come to an end. All along the ray is ever-struggling to return to its source, the Lower Mind ever aspiring to become one with the higher. It is this continual yearning which clothes itself as prayer, as inspiration, as ‘seeking after God,' as longing for union with the divine.

Thus, in the Adept or Master, the Christ has risen triumphant, victorious, lord of himself and of all nature. This Adept has a fully developed self-consciousness, which is the vehicle of all knowledge of the past and present, and the future. He is an Adept or Immortal Entity because he now moves in the realms of the Unconditional Will, absolutely free; but whose freedom is in complete harmony with the Law and thus voluntarily acts as the channel of the Universal Will - in perfect liberty and perfect obedience.

Mind Consciousness: Personality and the Immortal Individuality

Mind consciousness on the physical plane is started by the action of the Lower Mind on the molecules of the nervous cells and thereby setting them to vibrations. It needs to be added here that molecular motion is the lowest and most material form of the One Eternal Life.

Our Personality or Ego sum is but an illumination by a ray from the Higher Mind, and this ray is the Lower Mind. This ray, also called the psychic breath, sweeps through the physical instrument of the brain and the internal organs, producing music according to the molecular constitution of the nerves. The action of the Lower Mind in conjunction with the karmic influence of past lives shapes the personality in the present life.

Coming to karma and its influence on successive molding of personalities in subsequent lives, it would be worthwhile to mention that re-incarnation into various personalities belongs ultimately to the domain of the Higher Mind. It is the Higher Mind that sends out rays to give rise to successive personalities. Thus, as long as our consciousness is that of the Lower Mind no memory of one personality can reach over to another. Higher Mind is the Master and Lower mind the slave. The slave works upon instructions from the master.

Only those who can raise their consciousness to the plane of the Higher Mind can travel up and down the ray, which then acts as a bridge between the personal man that perishes and the immortal man that endures.

It is in the realms of this Higher Mind, in the memory of the eternal ego that we find stored the whole records of our past lives on Earth. It is by way of this ray that we can bring back records to our brain-memory of our successive personalities. This is the whole idea behind re-incarnation. The immortal individuality re-incarnates as the various earthly personalities.

The source of separateness springs from the fact that no memory can bridge over the gulf between the various personalities. There is no link between the brains of successive personalities.

It is this Higher Mind that is the "Father in Heaven", uncontaminated with earthly elements, unsoiled and pure. The various rays of the Lower Mind are the "Sons" of the "Father in Heaven". Imperatively, one of the following three fates can befall on the Lower Mind:

1. It may rise towards its source and become one with the Father in Heaven

2. It may partially aspire and partially tend downwards.

3. It may break away from its source, thus giving rise to the satanic or demonic qualities in Man. The final outcome of such a fate is disintegration!!

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis can be considered as the consequence of a development that occurs in three parts: Evolution, Transformation, and Metamorphosis. Evolution is the continuing process intrinsic to the universe that is ever manifesting in nature. There are two main kinds of evolution: Measured and Interrupted. Measured evolution is the ongoing process by which things are slowly enhanced through an ongoing communication with the environment. Interrupted evolution is the process by which things become accustomed to sudden change. As far as the present opinion is concerned, human evolution has essentially shifted from the physical realm to the realm of consciousness. It has also been safely deduced that human consciousness has been subjected to both aspects of evolution. This is evident from the fact that as we accumulate knowledge of ourselves and our surroundings, our consciousness follows the path of measured evolution. As we make quantum leaps in understanding, such as the discovery of electrical energy, for instance, we are subjected to the forces of interrupted evolution. As far as the second step of Transformation is concerned, the focus, once again, is on consciousness. The most significant transformation that would be required of the human species would be the ability to control our attention, thereby causing a stilling of the mind itself. This is, by far, the most important step for the present generation of the human species. Without the stilling of the mind, the higher recesses of our consciousness will never be accessible. Every enlightened human unfailingly stresses on this aspect. Metamorphosis literally means changing into a higher form. We cannot continue as we are, in our present form; the change has to take place in the form of elevating our consciousness. We must evolve into higher consciousness as our normal state. The importance of this fact is very evident in this famous statement of Albert Einstein, “We cannot solve a problem with the same consciousness that created it.”

The Dual Essence of Mind

Man was slowly built up through the past ages, stage by stage, principle by principle and has now reached a point where he requires ‘something' else that would enable him to come into conscious union with the Highest in him. The evolution in the mass has now almost reached the final stage. From here onwards, this aeonian will be hurried through in the personal evolution of each human being.

To catalyze this evolution, super-human intelligences from the other dimensions incarnated as guides and spiritual teachers of humanity and in the process became founders and divine rulers of the ancient civilizations. These beings, also, kept re-incarnating in the ages that followed.

In this upward growth, it is the fifth principle, Manas, belonging to the third plane of the Mental, which has been predominant. Manas (or Mind, so to say, although it would not suffice) is the essence of the rays of the eternal Divine Mind. Although this is an individual entity, it assumes a two-fold attribute once it enters the realm of the physical plane. The two attributes are the Higher Manas, or the essential, heaven seeking mind and the Lower Manas or the rationalized, thinking mind. The essence now becomes dual.

It is to be noted that the higher Manas can but rarely manifest itself at the present stage of human evolution. As of now it occurs only as a flash from the loftier regions. Such flashes are what give rise to true genius. Yet, genius is nothing but an accumulation of individual experiences and aspirations in the preceding life and lives. The blooming of the genius is nothing but the culmination of a long series of past incarnations.

The lower Manas, on the other hand, can neither anticipate nor remember, and consists of passion forged of ambition, desire for fame, power and supreme intellectual achievement. The lower Manas is bound fast to earth; it is tainted with Karma.

Thus lower Manas, at the most, can manifest as the artificial genius, the outcome of culture and pure intellectual acuteness; whereas the higher Manas is the real genius belonging to the realm of the yet untouched unknown, and free of any karmic influence.

Twin Flame

Originally and in core essence we are all, undoubtedly, light; born as a spark from the Original Source - to which we give the name God. Here, I mean a different dimension, way beyond our present warp of Time and Space. This spark of light then descended down layers of a series of involutionary stages. As it came hurtling down, it started spinning, eventually forming opposite poles - male-female, yin-yang. As it descended further it divided into two distinct spheres of light.

This pair then entered the plane of Earth - the physical plane. Some of them incarnated as two flesh bodies. The two different flesh bodies assumed their own individual positions in Time and Space. Once on Earth, the real work for each pair was to begin only after they found and recognized each other.

All throughout this tremendous involutionary transition, God, the Original Source, kept a strong vigil over each pair, so that they were never lost from each other. God's love for his children made sure that these two forces of consciousness, the masculine and feminine, would be bound together throughout eternity.

Now, allow me to stray away a little to point out a major difference between Soul Mates and Twin Souls. Soul Mates (and you will have many soul mates in a lifetime) are simply two people whose energy is vibrating at a very close rate, creating a resonance between the energy centers of their body. In other words, you would feel a very strong resonance with this person, who could be your Soul Mate. It wouldn't matter if you came from totally different circumstances, or if you may have had opposite educational studies or contrary cultural upbringings. You would still find a harmony that is very sacred and very rare.

As for Twin Flames, you only have one twin aspect of your soul in the entire universe that vibrates at the same frequency of light that you do. This is quite an awesome thought.

However, this concept of Twin Flame is ineffectually understood at our material, corporeal level, at this stage of our evolutionary progress. No doubt, we need to learn to contact our Twin Flame and this search is, of course, prompted by our Higher Selves. Yet, our search for that one special person on a physical level is what can be termed as inadequate.

Instead, our seeking should be for that Wholeness within!!

Otherwise, our search would end up as a diversion on the path to the emancipation of our soul. We need to understand and to ever remember that it is our relationship to God and our Higher Self that holds the way to finding and becoming one with our Twin Flame.

The Seven Planes

Right at the onset, please allow me to request you all who find time to read my articles not to ask for proofs to substantiate whatever I have written so far and whatever. I am going to write hereafter. I don't have any. It will not be imprudent to admit that the sophisticated theories of science cannot be verified to one ignorant of its first principles. It is only to be expected that such people will only be too prepared to find most of the contents to be alleged.

However, an unprejudiced person, confronted with startling views, will not expect complete demonstration until s/he has mastered the elements of that particular branch of science he is inquiring into.

The realm of the spirit and of the higher mind is closed to all save those who have evolved the faculties for this exploration. Time alone will unravel the mysteries that confront our everyday existence.

Having digressed enough from our topic for this article let me now directly come to it. At the lowest level we have the physical plane which constitutes the dense physical body, the etheric double, and the Prana or the vital fluid that sustains life.

On the second plane, is the Astral or Desire body also called Kama. The Mental plane, constituting of the Human Soul or Manas, is the third in the series.

The next two divisions belong to the spiritual realm. The fourth is the Spiritual Souls or Buddhi and the fifth is the Spirit itself, also known as Atman.

During the present stage of human development, evolution takes place on these five planes. Before concluding let me add that there are two successive movements of consciousness, difficult but well within our capacity, by which we can have access to the superior gradation of our conscious existence. One is the movement inwards, by which we can, by our own efforts, gradual or forceful, be able to break the wall in front of us. The other is the large dynamic descent of light, knowledge, power, or bliss into our self of silence. Both these movements are necessary for rendering the veil that separates the Known from the Unknown.

According to Theosophy, "The Secret Doctrine", Man's nature has seven aspects; it is composed of seven principles. Essentially, Man is a Spirit, a ray of God, a spark from the Divine Fire. He is the Son who can grow into the likeness of his Father.

Man is also an evolving being; part of his nature has already manifested, while certain elements are still hidden at present. This is so far as the majority of humankind is concerned.

There are seven planes of nature (each ‘plane' is simply a condition, a stage, a state) and Man, his nature being fully developed, can consciously exist in these seven different states. Human development is evolutionary and this evolution takes place in cycles or spirals, to put it more appropriately. At the completion of each circle of a spiral, Man finds himself one notch higher than the starting point.

In his present stage of evolution, Man can, at the most, be aware of one part of his nature at any given time. Man is limited in his consciousness by mind; what is below his mind is sub-conscious or unconscious and what is above is super-conscious. Just as he is limited to a certain scale of sounds or colors (i.e. what is above or below that scale to him is inaudible and invisible or at least indistinguishable), so at his present stage of mental consciousness, he is confined within his extremities - the upper and the lower limit. Man has neither a sufficient means of communication with the animal (his mental congener) nor with the super-conscious (which is to him a closed book which may well be filled with empty pages).

Theosophy has put these seven principles into two groups - the Triad and the Quaternary. The Triad, containing the three higher principles, is the deathless part of Man's nature. The Quaternary, containing the four lower principles, is the mortal part. The higher two principles of the Triad is, at present, entirely inaccessible to mankind and will not be reached, save in the most exceptional cases. Thus keeping the layman (even the most exceptionally brilliant among us is still a layman as far as the evolutionary process is concerned) in mind, Theosophy discusses only five principles and has left the higher two out of sight.
